What is the PMAA Rank Evaluation & Recognition Program?
It’s a professional process to review and recognize your Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) rank, skill, training experience, and lineage within systems such as Kali, Eskrima, Arnis, and related Filipino weapons-based methods.
This program is FMA-only. We recognize training rooted in Filipino martial traditions - Kali/Eskrima/Arnis and related Filipino systems - based on your documented training history, instructor background, and continued education (seminars, camps, certifications).
For serious FMA practitioners and instructors who want a clear recognition pathway—especially if you’ve trained for years, cross-trained within FMA lineages, attended major seminars/camps, or your original school/instructor is no longer active.
What happens after I request information?
You’ll receive an email with the program overview and next steps. This page is only an information request - once you review it, you can decide whether you want to proceed.
We look at your FMA training timeline, lineage/instructor history, rank progression, technical background, and relevant education (seminars, camps, and certifications). The specific checklist is provided after you request info.
