Preserving, Promoting, Educating & Advancing Filipino Martial Arts Worldwide
The Philippine Martial Arts Alliance (PMAA) was founded on a simple belief:
That Filipino Martial Arts is stronger when practitioners, instructors, schools, organizations, and systems work together to preserve, promote, educate, and advance the art for future generations.
While styles, systems, lineages, and teaching methods may differ, we share a common responsibility - to help ensure that Filipino Martial Arts continues to grow, thrive, and positively impact people around the world.
Today, PMAA serves as a platform for education, collaboration, leadership development, technology, and community-building designed to support individuals and organizations dedicated to the future of
Filipino Martial Arts.
The vision for PMAA began in 2006.
The vision for PMAA began in 2006
At the time, the goal was not simply to create another organization, curriculum, or ranking system. The goal was to create something that could help unite people who shared a passion for Filipino Martial Arts while providing opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to the art's future.
While the vision was clear, the tools, technology, and infrastructure needed to fully support that mission were still developing. Over the next two decades, PMAA focused on building the foundation.
Educational programs were developed. Instructor development systems were created. Technology platforms were built. Communities were established. Relationships were formed. Resources were developed. And a growing worldwide network of practitioners, instructors, schools, and organizations continued to emerge.
The vision never changed. The foundation simply needed time to be built.
Today, Filipino Martial Arts has more opportunities than ever before. Technology allows people to connect across continents. Online education makes learning more accessible. Communities can collaborate regardless of location. Schools and organizations can share knowledge, promote events, and support one another in ways that were not possible years ago. After more than two decades of building resources, technology, educational systems, and relationships, PMAA is positioned to help bring that original vision to life. Not by replacing existing organizations. Not by asking anyone to abandon
their style, lineage, or identity. But by providing opportunities, tools, resources, and support that help all of us contribute to the growth of Filipino Martial Arts.
Members can access training programs, educational resources, instructor development, events, community discussions, and learning opportunities from anywhere in the world.
Whether you are looking for Filipino Martial Arts training, Kali training, Eskrima training, Arnis education, curriculum advancement, instructor development, or leadership opportunities, the FMA Online University provides pathways designed to support your growth and development.

We believe Filipino Martial Arts deserves greater recognition. We believe future generations deserve access to the traditions, knowledge, and values that make our art so special. We believe schools, organizations, instructors, and practitioners can accomplish more when they support one another. We believe preserving our differences is just as important as finding common ground. Most importantly, we believe Filipino Martial Arts is stronger when we work together than when we work alone.

The Philippine Martial Arts Alliance was founded by Grandmaster Julius Melegrito, a lifelong martial artist, educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for Filipino Martial Arts.
For more than three decades, Grandmaster Melegrito has dedicated his life to helping students, instructors, schools, and organizations grow through martial arts education, leadership development, and professional training.
His vision for PMAA has always remained the same: To create opportunities that help Filipino Martial Arts grow stronger, reach more people, and positively impact future generations.

The future of Filipino Martial Arts will not be shaped by one person, one school, one organization, or one system. It will be shaped by all of us. If you believe Filipino Martial Arts deserves a stronger future... If you believe we can accomplish more together than we can alone. If you believe in preserving, promoting, educating, and advancing Filipino Martial Arts worldwide. Then we invite you to be part of the journey.
Together, we can help strengthen the future of Filipino Martial Arts for generations to come.
