Hi Mr Melegrito, Thanks for the seminar on stix 4 kids at the Australian supershow, I have already retained a child who was going to quit this week by offering the sticks 4 Kids program and in doing so had three other kids parents ring me and ask me to put their childs name down on the list.

The best part is the PMAA is a strong community. We really enjoy the events hosted by members of the PMAA and being able to train with others that enjoy and have an appreciation for the Philippine Combatives system. The Black Belts in the PMAA are some of the best martial artist in the world and like the saying goes, If you want to soar, you spend time with the eagles.

I am writing this testimonial because I love the PMAA, I love how it has helped me grow as a martial artist, I love the friends I’ve made training in the PMAA, and if you are thinking of looking for a home to train in martial arts, I’d like you to consider the PMAA!

My journey to the PMAA was not straightforward. It started for me late in life. After attending college at U of MD, getting married, having two kids, spending 12 years in the US Navy submarine force, earning an MBA at NYU, and working in various industrial facilities, I stumbled into training.

I started training with my kids because I wanted them to gain the confidence that comes with martial arts. Fast forward 20 years, the kids have moved out, and I’m still going.

In addition to my PMAA ranking, I hold rankings in Combat Hapkido, BJJ, and Tae Kwon Do.

I love THE PMAA curriculum because I found it allowed me to immediately apply my previous training, but layered enough that, after over 15 years of training in the system, I continue to learn and grow.

I’ve trained with Guro Melegrito for over 15 years and have gotten to know him as a friend. He is an awesome instructor who really cares about his students. No one is left behind.

I have been a student of Guro Melegrito for 24 years. I started with him when he first took over the school and was a young and very talented teacher. I tried Karate, Taekwondo, and fencing with other instructors before taking lessons at the PMAA HQ. He was the first instructor more interested in my personal growth, goals, and where I wanted to go. He helped me lose weight and get into the best shape of my life. I met many friends through this organization who are still my friends. I started using the Philippine Martial Arts system over 10 years ago! I was looking for a practical, simple to implement, weapons program that my students would enjoy.
